How To Get A Job As An Expat In UAE – that will be the topic of today’s article.

Before introducing this article, if you are interested in our core services which are expat financial, insurance and mortgages, you can contact me here.

The best time to consider your financial situation is when you are moving to a new country.

Introduction

Getting a job as an expat in UAE can be a challenge, but with the right tools and resources, it can be done with ease. In fact, the UAE seems to be the last place people go to secure a job. This is due to the customs and traditions of the country compared to other Western countries.

However, one first thing you need to understand is the culture. The UAE is basically an Islamic nation, so you must respect their culture and customs while working. Besides, there are other things you need to do in order to increase your chances of getting a job.

Of course, you need to get your resume in order. Make sure to highlight all of your skills and work experience, as well as your education. If you have any certificates or other documents that can support your application, be sure to include them too. Also, it’s important to network with people who are already working in the UAE.

Now, ask yourself; are you working for a short period or full-time employment? After you might have decided what works best, there are a few necessary preparations you should do before your departure.

First, if you have not done so, get a travel visa and make sure it is valid for the entire duration of your stay in the UAE

Next, open a bank account in UAE so you can easily access your money while working there

Make copies of all important documents, including your passport, visa, and driver’s license. Keep the originals in a safe place.

Take some time to learn about the culture and dress appropriately for work. It is best not to stand out like a sore thumb and make sure to follow the country’s customs.

In addition, there are a few websites that can help you secure a job in the UAE.

UAE Jobs

Bayt Jobs

This website is a great resource for finding jobs in the Middle East. They have an extensive database of jobs, as well as resume tips and interview advice. You can also create a profile on Bayt.com to make it easier for employers to find you. This is why it is one of the most popular job websites in the UAE.

LinkedIn

LinkedIn is a social media platform that can be used to find jobs, as well as connect with employers and colleagues. It’s important to have a strong LinkedIn profile if you want to work in UAE. This includes having a quality photo, a complete profile, and a few recommendations from previous employers.

Why Is It Difficult To Get Jobs in the UAE

There are many reasons why it is difficult to get a job in the UAE. One reason is that there is a lot of competition for jobs in the UAE. Many people want to live and work in the UAE, so there are a lot of applicants for every job vacancy. This makes it difficult for people looking for jobs to get hired. Check out the reasons we’ve got for you!

Market Competition

The UAE is a rapidly growing economy with many opportunities for businesses and job seekers alike. However, with such an opportunity comes fierce competition. It can be difficult to stand out from the pack and notice potential employers. This can make it tough to snag a job in the UAE.

Limited Availability of Certain Jobs

Certain jobs are in high demand in the UAE, but few workers fill all positions. This can make it difficult for foreigners to get their foot in the door in certain industries. Aside from this fact, the UAE is also a very expensive place to live, and many companies are unwilling to pay high wages for employees who may only be in the country for a short period.

Language Barrier

The UAE is home to people from all over the world, and as such, there are many different languages spoken in the country. English is the most commonly spoken language, but it can be difficult for foreigners to find work if they do not have a good grasp of the language.

Cultural Differences

The UAE is a Muslim country, and as such, some cultural norms and values are upheld in the workplace. Foreigners may not be familiar with these cultural differences, leading to conflicts in the workplace. Additionally, many companies in the UAE prefer to hire locals instead of foreigners, as they feel that locals are more familiar with the country’s culture and norms.

Visa Restrictions

UAE visas are not easy to come by, and they can be difficult to renew. This can make it difficult for foreigners to stay in the country for an extended period, making it difficult to find a job. Also, many jobs in the UAE require that employees be sponsored by their employer, leading to visa restrictions.

Limited Work Opportunities for Women

The UAE is a patriarchal society, and as such, there are limited work opportunities for women. Most jobs in the UAE are available to men only, and many companies are unwilling to hire women due to cultural norms and values. This can make it difficult for foreign women to find work in the UAE.

Difficulty Obtaining Residency

Once a foreigner has been hired for a job in the UAE, they must apply for residency. This process can be difficult and time-consuming, and it can often take months or even years to be granted residency. This can make it difficult for foreigners to stay in the UAE long-term, leading to problems finding a job.

Limited Social Opportunities

The UAE is a very social country, and many people spend their weekends and evenings out at bars and nightclubs. This can be difficult for foreigners who do not have many friends. It can also be difficult to find activities outside of work, as most things in the UAE are geared towards locals.

High Cost of Living

The UAE is a very expensive place to live, and most expats find that they spend a large portion of their salary on living expenses. This can be difficult for foreigners who are not used to paying high prices for necessities. Also, the cost of living in the UAE tends to be higher than in other regions.

Limited Career Opportunities

The UAE is a young country, and many industries are still infancy. This can lead to limited career opportunities for foreigners looking to stay in the country long-term. Also, many of the larger companies in the UAE are unwilling to hire foreigners, as they feel that locals are more familiar with the culture and the business landscape.

Documents Required To Get Jobs in UAE

If you are looking for a job in the United Arab Emirates, you must provide certain documents to your potential employer. The documents required vary depending on your nationality and the type of job you seek, but some of the most common ones are listed below.

A Copy of Your Passport

This is probably the most important document you will need. Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the date of your intended stay in the UAE. Aside from this fact, your passport must also have at least two blank pages for visa stamps. This waives the requirement for a visa if you are only staying in the UAE for a short period.

A Copy of Your Emirates ID card

This is another important document, as it serves as your residence permit and identification card in the UAE. It must be valid for at least six months beyond the date of your intended stay. Also, it is helpful to have a copy of your Emirates ID card if you need to renew your visa while in the UAE.

A Copy of Your University Degree or Diploma

This is required if you are seeking a job in a professional or managerial position. The copy must be attested by the UAE embassy or consulate in your home country. Also, your degree or diploma must be from a recognized institution. This means that you may not work in the UAE if you graduate from a university that the UAE government does not recognize.

A Copy of Your Employment Contract

This is required if you seek a position, not in a professional or managerial field. The copy must be attested by the UAE embassy or consulate in your home country. Moreover, the contract must be valid for at least two years. Not only is that, but the contract must also state that you will be working in the UAE for a minimum of two years.

A Medical Examination Report

This is required if you are seeking a job in the UAE and you are not from one of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The medical examination must be conducted by an approved panel of doctors in your home country. It is important to note that the UAE has strict health and safety regulations, so you will likely be required to undergo a medical examination even if you are from a GCC country.

A Copy of Your Criminal Record Check

This is required for all job applicants, regardless of nationality. An approved panel of police officers must conduct a criminal record check in your home country. In fact, some employers may even require a police clearance certificate, in addition to a criminal record check.

A Copy of Your Driver’s License

This is not required for all job applicants, but it can be helpful to have a copy if you are seeking a position that requires driving. Also, the UAE has very strict traffic laws, so you will likely need a driver’s license if you plan to drive in the country. Therefore, it is a good idea to have a copy of your driver’s license handy, just in case.

Best Cities For Expats In The Middle East part 1 – that will be the topic of today’s article.

Before introducing this article, if you are interested in our core services which are expat financial, insurance and mortgages, you can contact me here.

The best time to consider your financial situation is when you are moving to a new country.

Introduction

The Middle East is a Location in the Asian continent with some of the world’s most incredible landscapes. Some countries that are often overlooked by expats or just beginning travelers, however, include Oman and Kuwait. Expatriates appreciate these locations because they have been known to have a great work-life balance due to the absence of heavy pollution from traffic.

Healthcare in Oman is of high quality, but expatriates are recommended to purchase additional insurance. For a low price, travelers choose from various plans for health care travel. Many new companies have cropped up recently, catering specifically to expats living in the Middle East.

Here, dental care services are usually more expensive compared to Western countries. Middle Eastern countries like Oman and Kuwait are safe places because of their criminal justice system. Police response time is typically 15 minutes or less because the officers patrol the streets daily. Housing in cities such as Muscat, Kuwait City, and Manama is priced fairly.

Expats living in the Middle East often live outside of the city center in apartment complexes. There are no restrictions on foreigners owning a home, which opens up a wealth of options. Many expats live in Muscat because of its airport and beaches.

I’m sure you’d love to know more. Well, if that sounds like a yes, this is the right platform. Today, we have compiled everything needed to know about living in the Middle East. Not only is that, but we will walk you through the best cities for expats in this area. Also, you’ll understand the cultures and more.

Why Expats Need to Live in the Middle East

For expats, the Middle East can be an excellent place to live. It comes with challenges, but it can also offer great experiences not found in home countries. There are many reasons you should consider living in the Middle East if you are an expat; here are five of them.

1) Tax-Free Living & Relocation Package

As an expat, one of the first things you may notice about living in the Middle East is no income taxes for most employees. This can contribute to a monthly pay packet that is much higher than it would be back home.

If you relocate as part of your employment package, then it means that your relocation costs will also be paid for. Expats are often provided with a tax-free monthly allowance to cover their living expenses, making it easier to manage your money when you first arrive.

2) Affordable Luxuries

Living in the Middle East can be surprisingly affordable compared to home countries, especially if you are used to the high costs of living in places like London or New York. For expats, life in the Middle East can seem very luxurious as you enjoy your tax-free pay packet and tax-free living allowance. Of course, it is easy to spend too much money here as many temptations along the way.

3) Everything at Your Fingertips

In most cities of the Middle East, you will find every Western amenity you may be used to back home. Shopping malls and supermarkets sell everything that you would expect them to, and they often do so at a lower cost than what you would find in North America or Europe.

There is also an abundance of restaurants and entertainment venues catering to all tastes. If you really want something, then it shouldn’t be too hard to find it.

4) Safety & Security

Living in the Middle East is generally safe and secure, especially compared to many other parts of the world. Most expats will not have any security issues here since they live within their own compound where everything is very secure.

Of course, you should always take care when leaving your compound as you should anywhere else, but the same could be said for traveling to any other country from home too. The security environment in most Middle Eastern countries is excellent, and it shows in the day-to-day lives of expats who live here.

5) Share Experiences with Different Cultures

For many expats, living in the Middle East offers the chance to interact with new cultures. This can be a great experience as you learn about how people from different backgrounds operate and think. You will soon grow accustomed to living in an Arab country, but it is still interesting to see things from a different perspective at times.

6) No winter

For those who live in places with harsh and brutal winters, moving to a country where you can enjoy tropical warmth all year round is excellent. If you want to escape the cold weather, then the Middle East is definitely for you as it has no winter seasons at all. Moving here means that you never have to worry about enduring terrible conditions or even bring sufficient clothing with you.

7) Work & Play Balance

Middle Eastern countries tend to be great places for expats who want to balance work and play without sacrificing one completely for the other. It is easy to go out to dinners, bars, shopping malls, etc., in your spare time while enjoying your tax-free pay packet and tax-free living allowance.

There is also a growing entrepreneurial scene in places like Dubai, which means that you can work for yourself if you wish to do so. The Middle East is a great place to live as an expat, especially if you want to leave behind the daily grind of working life in your home country. This region offers a tax-free lifestyle to expats, and it has a lot going for it as a destination.

8) Affordable Education for Your Kids

Education is one of the biggest expenses that any family will have to endure, but in the Middle East, you can choose from a vast range of schools. Many are international, which means your kids will be educated in English and they will get a chance to learn about different cultures.

Even public schools are affordable if you want to avoid the high costs of international schooling, although these may be limited depending on which country you live in.

9) Tourism is Booming

Many Middle Eastern countries have seen a huge rise in tourism over recent years, so there are great opportunities for expats working in this area.

You can make use of your language skills, tourism experience, and other transferable skills here, thanks to the thriving industry. Many of these countries are hot on attracting tourists, so there is always work if you put yourself out there and market yourself well.

10) Job Opportunities Abound

With the tourism industry booming in certain parts of the Middle East, there are plenty of job opportunities for expats. Those who want to work in international business can find jobs easily, while those with language skills have even more options open to them.

Even if you are not particularly experienced or skilled, companies are looking for people to fill roles, so it is worth putting yourself out there and seeing what you can find.

Best Cities for Expats in the Middle East

Overview of the Pros of Living in Dubai as an Expat

So you have decided to move to Dubai? You are not alone. Thousands of newcomers migrate to this emirate every year, lured by the promises of a better life and career prospects in an exotic land. The question is: “Why moving to Dubai?” This article should help you discern whether or not living here will be beneficial for you.

Dubai is a wonderful place to live. In fact, it has been voted as the best place in the Middle East for expats to live and work. However, this cannot guarantee that life here will be easy. If you are thinking of moving to Dubai and want to know more about how and why living in Dubai is worthwhile, read on.

A Better Quality Of Life

Dubai is blessed with a very mild climate; this makes it very pleasant to be outside most of the year-round, regardless of what time of day it is. Living in Dubai means never experiencing harsh cold winters or scorching hot summers you would encounter elsewhere in the Middle East, for example, Saudi Arabia. The cost of living in Dubai is also lower than in other major global cities such as London, Paris and New York.

Tax-Free Living

One of the major benefits of living in Dubai is that expats can enjoy a tax-free lifestyle. This means that you do not have to worry about paying income tax, wealth tax, or any other form of tax that can be imposed on you when you are outside your home country. This feature makes Dubai an attractive destination for expatriates in the Middle East and worldwide.

Better Job Opportunities

Another major reason to move to Dubai is better career opportunities in job openings, higher wages, and work-life balance. Dubai is home to many multinational corporations and offers a wide range of job opportunities for expats in various industries. The cost of living in Dubai is also lower than in other major global cities such as London, Paris, and New York.

Improved Standard of Living

Thanks to the oil boom of the 1970s, Dubai has managed to develop and improve its standard of living rapidly. New infrastructure and state-of-the-art amenities have been built, making Dubai a desirable place to live. In addition, the government offers numerous incentives to expats, such as free housing and healthcare.

Plenty of Activities and Events to Enjoy

Dubai is an extremely vibrant and lively city with plenty of activities and events to keep you entertained. From shopping at the world’s largest malls to enjoy a luxurious dinner at one of Dubai’s fine restaurants, there is always something to do in this city. Some many cultural events and festivals take place throughout the year, so you will never get bored living here.

Safe and Secure

Dubai is one of the safest cities in the world. It has a very low crime rate, and you can walk around freely at all hours of the day or night without feeling threatened. The UAE also has strict laws against any form of criminal activity, so you do not have to worry about safety if you are thinking of moving to Dubai.

Endless Adventures and Excursions to Explore

As the saying goes, “the world is your oyster.” And this is definitely true when it comes to Dubai. With its proximity to other countries in the region, such as Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia, there are endless adventures and excursions to explore. All you need to do is board a plane, and in just one hour, you can be on the other side of the world exploring another culture.

Best Areas and Suburbs in Dubai

Frequently Asked Questions about Living in Dubai

How expensive is it to live in Dubai?

Dubai is known as one of the most expensive places in the world to live. However, Dubai does offer a wide variety of housing choices which include high rises (apartments), villas, and townhouses. So depending on your budget and whether you want to rent or buy, costs will vary.

A three-bedroom apartment inside the Palm Jumeirah starts at around AED 235,000 per annum to rent, while a studio apartment in the same area will set you back AED 95,000. Villas on the Palm can go for as much as AED 1 million per annum to rent.

What is the Cost of Living in Dubai?

Again this depends on which housing option you choose. For example, getting your groceries from local supermarkets or stores will set you back about AED 100 per week for a family of four. Renting an apartment in this same neighborhood would cost around AED 2,000 per month.

What is the Weather Like in Dubai?

Dubai has a hot desert climate with high humidity levels. Summer temperatures can reach 50 degrees Celsius, and winter temperatures can drop to around 10 degrees Celsius. Rainfall is rare but typically happens in the winter months.

Conclusion

Dubai is an attractive place for expats due to its favorable weather, tax-free lifestyle, great job opportunities, and endless adventures. So if you are thinking of moving here, be assured that you will not be disappointed. Nonetheless, refer to this platform for more tips and guides.

Best pre-school and nurseries in Dubai part 2 – Part one is here.

Preschool and nurseries in Dubai

Below are the ones that expat parents in Dubai mention the most and remember that they almost always work Sunday through Thursday.

Some kindergartens accept babies from 3 months old, although most prefer to accept babies from 12 months. Tuition fees and times vary greatly from school to school. Usually, kindergartens are open four or five hours, although some offer early morning and later evenings. Some have lunch and summer classes.

However, the only way to properly know about the school is to visit it. The most popular newsrooms – in true Dubai style – have long lines. The ones in Jumeirah and Umm Sukiem are especially popular because they are the oldest; it doesn’t always mean better, but it does mean that people know more about them and have more basis for their opinion.

The Children’s Garden Green Community

The nursery was started in 2005 by Birgit Ertl in cooperation with the Talim education group from the UAE. It is the first truly bilingual school in Dubai, currently enrolling over 600 children from over 50 nationalities in two schools, one of which is in Al Barsha.

This multilingual preschool provides a caring, friendly and fun environment for children 2-6 years old in Dubai at Dubai Investments Park and Al Barsha 2. Based here in Dubai in 2005 they are registered with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).

They believe that the happiness of the children is vital. They need time to grow up in a holistic environment that encourages and supports them to make informed choices from hundreds of activities in a carefully prepared environment. TCG children become experts in managing their learning and become part of the global community.

The caring, homely and creative environment not only offers a gentle introduction to social life outside the family but also helps every child develop independence and fulfill their potential.

Dovecote Nursery School

Dovecote Nursery is a high-quality kindergarten offering first class education for children under 3 years old. Dovecote is a UK-managed nursery that follows the EYFS curriculum.

Dovecote prepares your child for early school age, making them confident and independent learners. They provide a comprehensive environment with highly trained staff trained to deliver the high standard of care you expect to find in UK accredited nurseries.

They recognize that parents are the first and most persistent educators and educators of their children.

The school’s goal is to work closely with parents to complement their childcare approach, in particular, to help children learn new skills such as toilet training, reading, and writing. The closer the parent and nursery teamwork in partnership, the more benefit the child will receive in the nursery.

Dovecote Nursery strives to be a leader in high-quality and progressive childcare. They will create a warm, friendly, and happy environment in which each child is encouraged to reach their full potential through praise, sensitivity, and mutual respect.

The nursery door is always open to all parents and guardians. Parents will also be invited to regular parent-teacher meetings to discuss their child’s progress. At the end of each day, parents will receive a Daily Diary containing a summary of what their child ate, how long they slept, and other important information. They also capture key moments of the child’s day to share with the family.

Emirates British Nursery

Emirates British Nursery was founded in Dubai in 2000. Since then, the nursery has grown and developed, but the basic principle of providing the highest quality childcare and early childhood education remains true.

They have grown to four first-class nurseries throughout Dubai, located in Mirdif, Dubai Motor City, Dubai Silicon Oasis, and our newest Villa branch.

At Emirates British Nursery, they follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) system in line with the UK National Curriculum. With a strong focus on creating a positive and safe environment in which both children and staff can thrive, Emirates British Nursery maintains a strong sense of community. They are happy to join you and your child on their educational journey.

As an outstanding group of kindergartens, the school strives to provide all children with an Education Fund, a Life Fund.

The school tries to be the best preschool education and childcare provider in Dubai and UAE, to set quality standards in teaching and educating young children in Dubai and the UAE, and to prepare the foundation for young children to become responsible global citizens.

Jumeirah International Nursery Al Safa

The Jumeirah International Nurseries (JINS) network of kindergartens, owned by the Fortes Education Group (which primarily operates Regent and Sunmarke schools), consists of three subsidiaries – Downtown, Sunmarke, and Al Safa. We visit the Al Safa branch to find out what’s new in this long-established and well-known nursery.

JINS Al Safa is located just behind Jumeirah Primary School, making it a convenient option for parents with older children in school. It is also conveniently located at Jumeirah English School, Emirates English School, and Safa British School.

The street is mostly residential, with street parking and an adjoining open sandy parking lot. The nursery is located in a large former residential villa with a very spacious area and several outbuildings that serve different purposes.

Upon arrival at the nursery, the atmosphere is calm and well organized and we are greeted by two friendly office staff. Then we are introduced to Samina Hayari, General Manager of the Fortes Nursery Group and Acting Head of JINS Al Safa.

Samina started her kindergarten career at JINS as a teacher, then moved on to FS1’s classroom teacher, kindergarten manager, and now to the group general manager. Samina is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Education and Leadership.
How To Get UAE Work Permits in 2021 – that will be the topic of today’s article.

Before introducing this article, if you are interested in our core services which are expat financial, insurance and mortgages, you can contact me here.

The best time to consider your financial situation is when you are moving to a new country.

Introduction

In our previous articles about moving to the UAE, we emphasize the pros and cons of relocating to the country. But, there is more to that, as getting work permits in the United Arab Emirates is crucial. Well, a work permit isn’t the only option to reside in the country, as there are more to look out for in 2021.

Of course, the UAE is a popular destination for expatriates due to its relatively simple visa requirements compared to other countries in the Middle East. And for this reason, the country is known in other continents while they have an excellent choice for companies that are quite expanding internationally.

However, like any other country, there are specific requirements to get any visa application. If your company is in the midst of international expansion, you may not have the time to apply for a UAE work visa. On the other hand, if you partner with a global PEO like Globalization Partner, we got you covered.

Our team of travel expat will get you everything needed to secure your stay in the United Arab Emirates. In addition, before everything, you’ll need an employer willing to hire you and start the necessary procedures to procure your employment visa and work permit if you don’t have one. Does that sound good?

Well, we have compiled this article to meet your requirements. If you’ve been surfing the internet to get the right information about how to get the UAE work permits, look no further. In this article, we will walk through the requirements to get a work permit. Not only that but the types of visas for expats today.

Types of Visas in the UAE

As of the time of writing this article, you should know that the different visa types applicable in the UAE have been a little obscure due to incomplete and incorrect information on the internet. But if you found yourself on this platform, you’ll find that the government issues seven different UAE visas. Without further ado, here are the types of visas available for expats in the UAE.

1. Tourist Visa (30-days)

As the name suggests, this is the type of visa issued to people visiting the United Arab Emirates for leisure purposes. However, this kind of visa has a validity of 58 days from the date of its issuance, and it grants the holder an entry permit of 30 days to visit the country. Essentially, a tourist visa is required to be procured by an individual from a country that does not have a Visa on Arrival Arrangement with UAE.

2. Tourist Visa (90-days)

This is another tourist visa that the UAE government recognizes. It may be issued for either 30 days or for a period of 90 days validity, depending on the plan of the tourist. On the other hand, you can choose between a Single Entry Long Term Visa and a Multiple Entry Long Term Visa for the period of 90 days.

3. Service Visa (14-days)

As the name implies, the service visa is issued to those that wish to stay in the United Arab Emirates for up to 14 days and also has confirmed return tickets or tickets to some other destination on Emirates airlines. This kind of visa is issued to the following people; sales managers, account auditors, corporate delegations, and those who need to visit the country for some commercial purpose.

4. Entry Permit for Companion

This kind of permit is also known as the entry permit for patients and their companions. It is for foreign patients who need to visit Dubai for medical attention. Meanwhile, they must be sponsored by some medical hospital or facility. But there are again two general varieties of this medical permit. One is to allow expat single entry with permission to stay for 90 days. More so, the second type is a multiple-entry permit with the same features as the single entry.

5. E-Visa for GCC Residents

This kind of visa is granted permission to only the residence from GCC, and this must be done before arriving in the UAE. Aside from this fact, expats wishing to use this method or kind of visa must ensure to have a sponsor traveling with them. Again, the entry permit has a validity of 30 days, while the holder has permission to stay in the country for 30 days from the day they enter the United Arab Emirates.

6. Transit Visa in UAE

This is another type of visa to take into consideration. Also, be aware that there are two different types of this visa; the first one is a 48-hour visa while the other one is a 96-hour visa. However, this kind of visa will have to be sponsored by airlines based in Dubai, and it’s a non-extendable visa.

7. Student Visa in UAE

The student visa is for aspiring students who wish to study in colleges and universities in the United Arab Emirates. Not only that, but its eligibility is one year, and the renewal is required upon finishing proof that the individual will be continuing education. Moreover, a new student visa package has been in existence since 2018, which is applicable for five years.

Understanding Work Permit in UAE (2021)

As of today’s digital world, it’s quite reasonable to understand the visa application process of a particular country before traveling to the country, and the UAE is no exception. There’s only one type of work permit in the UAE, often referred to as the labor card.

However, employers in UAE will need to obtain an entry visa, an Emirate ID card, a residence visa before applying for a work permit. On the flip side, to get a residence visa in the United Arab Emirates, you’ll need to provide the following documents.

A valid passport, photocopy, and recent passport photographs

An Emirates ID card with an entry permit from the Ministry of Labor

The results of medical screening and a copy of a company card from the employer

A copy of the company’s commercial license and a unique certification

After obtaining a residence visa, the employee may now apply for a work permit. And to get this work permit, the employee will need all of the documents listed above as a work permit application form, which must be completed in Arabic, and an employment contract or job offer from a company in the UAE.

Application Process for Work Permit

To understand the UAE work permit to satisfaction and credibility, it may be helpful to think of obtaining this kind of visa from three stages. And they include; getting an employment entry visa, obtaining a residence visa and work permit, and getting an Emirates ID card. Let’s take a look at it.

a) Getting an Entry Visa in UAE

Getting an entry visa is one of the first things to take into consideration. And of course, you need to know that the employment entry visa in the United Arab Emirates is also referred to as the pink visa. With that being said, your employer will have to apply for visa quota approval on your behalf. In addition to this fact, the employer will submit an employment contract to the MOL, and you’ll sign.

Furthermore, the Ministry must approve your work application before issuing you a new employment entry visa. Upon visa approval, you’ll have two months to enter the UAE. On the other hand, after you might have entered the country with a pink visa, you have 60 days to obtain a residence visa and formal work permit.

b) Getting an Emirates ID

Getting an Emirates ID is relatively easy, and it’s required for the medical screening employees to apply for a residence visa. However, to apply for this ID, you must provide your entry visa along with an original passport as well as a copy. Aside from this, you will need to apply in person at the Emirates Identity Authority (EIDA) center, where you’ll input your biometrics, including fingerprints and a photograph.

c) Obtaining a Work Permit

To apply for a residence visa, you’ll need all the required documents listed in the previous point mentioned earlier. The residence visa in the United Arab Emirates is valid for one to three years, and it can be renewed. This kind of employee’s work permit will be listed as part of the residency visa. And once your work permit is approved, you can officially begin to work in the country without disturbance.
